In these cost cutting day's and yearly subscription plans, i used have Microsoft Defender within My family office 365 that comes free.

Windows 11 comes already built in with vigorous component's to protect you against malware, viruses, and other security threats that happen on a daily basis but you still need Antivirus.

Also using Windows Updates is a priority to close loop holes and known bug fixs.

Hackers are constantly developing new techniques to infiltrate devices and steal sensitive information.

Ransomware, phishing attacks, and zero-day just a few examples of that you need to defend against on a daily basis.


Antivirus software plays role in detecting and preventing malware infections on devices.

It scans files and programs for known patterns of and removes or quarantines them to a secure vault and alert you

All Antivirus programs  can offer scheduled scanning, automatic updates, and scan web providing protection to enhance your web browsing experience.

We still need Antivirus software and internet security , as it remains an essential component of a comprehensive security strategy. 

You can also adopt a good awareness, avoiding suspicious links and always looking out for signs of a phishing attack. It is hard to spot and it's getting harder but please be aware at all cost's !

Remember prevention is always better than cure when it comes to cyber security.

Most important  is using strong, unique passwords across different sites ensuring if you do encounter a attack you don't compromise all your sites or apps by using same password.
